This competency-based course prepares trainees with the basic building blocks that cover the full range of work activities within the industry at the craft level. Fine furniture making is a trade that relies on time and effort, utilizing both hand and eye to create great pieces of work from wood.
Sadly, this is a skill set which is fading from our society, replaced by the quick and simple flat-pack furniture. What sets us apart on our furniture making courses is that we have a desire to pass on these great traditional skills of the Arts and Crafts movement, keeping the art of fine furniture making alive.

ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION
This competency-based course prepares trainees with the basic building blocks that cover the full range of work activities within the metal and enginering industry. Skilled electricians and engineers work behind the scenes to ensure that we receive a continuous supply of electric power. In order to do this trainees need to have an understaning of the basic concepts and practices of the electrical trade that enables them to install and maintain functional electrical systems.

This competency-based course prepares trainees in the core skills for a position in the Community Service Beauty Industry. Integrated throughout the course are career preparation standards, which include Communication, Calculation, Entrepreneurial Skills, Computer Skills, Workplace Safety, and Career Counselling.

WELDING
The Welding programme is designed to provide trainees with the requisite knowledge, skill, and attitudes required to perform welding operations which are generally routine and with limited complexity, and which are executed under direct supervision at the workplace. This programme will put into perspective all the requirements enabling a welder to discharge his \her duties in accordance with regulations and successfully demonstrate the competencies required to marticulate into other higher level welding programmes.
